Free Project - Grocery List Plaque

This month's free project is a decorative v-carved plaque designed to hold a grocery list and pencil which would make a handsome addition to any kitchen wall.

Army Sign - Customer Case Study

Carl Lombardo is a professional sign maker from Mount Tabor, New Jersey and has been using Vectric's software for many years to help design and machine a variety of eye catching signs.

 

We recently had the opportunity to speak with Carl to learn more about his latest project - the creation of a 39" army emblem for the entry sign of the Picatinny Arsenal.

 

In this case study we discuss Carl's approach to this job, including his customization, machining and finishing techniques. Carl also kindly shares some useful tips and tricks to help all budding sign makers with their work.

Vectric at Maker Faire 2012

Vectric were once again well represented at this year's Maker Faire in San Mateo, California. Brian, Edward and Stuart spent the two days on the ShopBot stand carving projects to show off the software's flexibility.

 

Visitors to the faire were intrigued watching the CNC cut pieces that included an assembled 12" high police box and 3D terrain maps of San Francisco Bay Area and Mount St Helens (before and after the eruption).
