Welcome Sign - Customer Case Study

In this case study we follow the production of a textured Welcome Sign that was created and shared on the Vectric Forum by Dave W (forum user 'fretsman69').

We got in touch with Dave to learn more about his experience with CNC and how he used features available in VCarve Pro such as node editing, wrap text along curve and toolpath textures (to name a few) to help him create this sign. Dave also tells us about his approach to machining and finishing the piece and shares a video of the project being cut on his homebuild CNC.

Vectric at IWF 2012

Brian, James and Sara enjoyed their time at this year's IWF trade show in Atlanta, the number of attendees was up on 2 years ago and there were a lot of visitors to the Vectric stand. There was interest in all levels of CNC from small-hobby to large-professional machines and many people wanting to look at Vectric software as their solution to drive their existing or newly purchased tools. There were also a lot of existing customers who came by the booth to say hello or have a few questions answered, the feedback and response to the software from them was really positive and exciting. Many thanks if you took time to visit with us.

Overall the show was very encouraging and we look forward to seeing you all again in two years at IWF 2014. We'd also like to publically thank Tim Merrill and Michael Tyler who helped us with logistics for shipping samples and supplies to and from the show.
