Free Project of the Month -
Festive Luminaria

This month we bring you yet another inspiring FREE Project created by Michael Tyler for Vectric. Luminaria, also known as "Festival Lights" are outdoor displays which are used as part of many various holiday seasons.

This version features a punched-tin style hole pattern through 0.25" - thick material. The holes are part of the decorative panel design and allow light to peek through from the inside. The interior is lit with a battery operated flickering tea light instead of a candle, perfect for adding comfort to a cold winters evening.

This free Vectric project requires Aspire 4.5 or VCarve Pro 7.5 or higher

Case Study - Nicholas Bukky

This month we were privileged to have the oportunity to meet up with long standing customer Nicholas Bukky and his son Ezra who were in the UK on vacation. From meeting Nick at several User Groups and having seen the excellent work he produces with Aspire and his CAMaster Cobra CNC. We could not let him leave without asking him some questions about his transition from traditional carpenter to building Victoria’s Secret store fixtures. Click on the button to read Nicks story and find out about some of his amazing projects.

Design & Make / CNC Mini Projects

Earlier this month we introduced CNC Mini-Projects and Design & Make, which prompted a positive response to our new resource for 3D projects. Andre Levesque emailed us from Quebec, Canada to say, “This is a fantastic move on your part and I can’t stress enough the importance for me to have such a resource at my disposal. This allows me to create fantastic artwork and to also learn from it at the same time. This is exactly what I was looking for but didn't know it existed.”

With the holiday season fast approaching its worth highlighting that there are some excellent customizable Christmas Projects available on the website along with many other potential gift ideas.

12 Projects of Christmas

On December 1st we’ll be posting the first of our “12 Projects of Christmas” on the Vectric Labs Blog. A new one will appear every other day after this until we’ve published all 12. As they become available we’ll make announcements on the Vectric Forum and through social media channels.

For each project we’ve tried to choose something that will make a nice gift or seasonal decoration. You’ll be able to read information on how we got along making our own versions of these projects in addition to downloading the working files for either VCarve Pro 7.5 or Aspire 4.5 as appropriate.

We look forward to seeing you share your examples of these on the Vectric forum leading up to Christmas.
