On most of the forums I post to, when you click a link it opens in a new window. It makes it easier to follow the thought process of the topic without having to backtrack back, especially if there are several follow-on links in the new page you just opened. I have not found a switch, button or any other way to do this on our forum.. Have I just missed it?
Thanks Jerre

Jerre,
You can right click on the link and select Open in New Window.
I don't recall an option in the User Control Panel but it may be worth a look.

Thanks Tim
DUH! I forgot about the right click thingy. I still would like the auto opening feature though.

I press the middle button (wheel) on my mouse and that has the same effect as right clicking and choosing "open in new window".

Holding the Shift key and clicking a link also opens a new window.

What I would really appreciate, is for the outline of the posts topic to show up when your cursor hovers over the message. Sawmill Creeks Forum has this, and it sure is a time saver on a slow/dial-up connection. I'm not sure how to explain how it works. Say, your reading the "General" board and under that there is a post about "pockets". I move my cursor over the heading "pockets" and I see a short caption of the posting without clicking "pockets" to open the message. This is not really an important issue, but I think it would be a nice touch to have this as an option.
