My new garage bar table . . . errrrr I mean workbench.
My new garage bar table . . . errrrr I mean workbench.
All done with Aspire, including the design, planing and jointing of the boards, and recessing the shape.
I just need the stain to dry before I put on a coat of epoxy to seal the whole thing together.

Looks Great, But now the questions. How did you do the inlay. It apears from the pocket you used a V bit to cut the profile of the pocket. Yet it looks like the inlay was cut with a EM and some how it has inside corners that look to sharp to be done with an EM bit. Can you please post a couple of more pic.s That show the inlay in a close up.
Thanks for the post.

Just remember while sharing that bench with Mr. Bud & Wiser you don't leave rings on it.

Craig,
That is a teriffic work bench and very creative design. I can't wait to see it with the epoxy coating.

David, one of the ways I've seen cnc inlays done is shown in my very rough illustration attached. Have fun. Russ

Very Cool! It looks to me like it is inspired by either a Viking warrior or a Klingon warrior from Star Trek! I like it.
