Rcnewcomb, That looks great. Slower machining speeds and feeds? Can't even see any marks. Looks great. I'll have to try it soon.

How many times did you have to replace the bits...or did the one bit carve the entire roughing pass and one for the finishing?

The bits hold up pretty well. Usually after they have lost their edge for wood we put them in the "stone" box for use on stone cutting.

The coated 1/8" ballnose still had a good edge even after this project was done.

Randall, that looks really good. Would it be OK to use the image in our gallery next time I add to it?
Thanks,
James

Sure, however, this was just taken on low resolution with my cell phone. I'll take some higher resolution photos this coming weekend when I have access to my son's digital SLR. I'll let you know when some better photos are available.

that's pretty... what kind of router you could made? the lime stone basically not too hard... but routing..
already i was thinking on the countertops... but i never thought about lime stone...
the small stepover gives less sanding, or in luckily case, no sanding... i just finished in the recent day the last supper... and it was kept long, but the sanding is minimal...
i downloaded the pictures and really this stuff looks good..
