Aspire 3.5 adds significant new features as well as expanding existing functions to improve work flow and design flexibility. There are more than 15 specific areas of enhancement covering aspects of 2D design, 3D modeling, toolpath creation and part visualization. For Vectric customers who are currently running Aspire 3 this version is a free update.

One of the most significant features is Aspire's new 3D Clipart Browser, this will speed up the creation of parts as well as increasing the choices available for "real-time" 3D design. The browser allows the user to see previews of files created with Aspire, making it easier and faster to select components for new layouts. Once located the object image can just be dragged and dropped to import the model into the current job setup. There is also added support to view Aspire file thumbnails directly in Windows Explorer and Drag and Drop directly from folders into the software to load CRV3D files.

When working in 3D there is a a new tool to extract a Cross Section, Sculpting enhancements and a Top/Bottom Split option when importing full 3D models. The extract Cross Section tool allows the user to easily create 2D data from the 3D components so new shapes can be seamlessly combined with the existing design. Enhancements to the sensitivity of the smoothing and sculpting in Aspire 3.5 provide added control during the important stage of finalizing the 3D model. For customers working with imported 3D models the new Top/Bottom Split option allows a full 3D part (STL, OBJ, etc.) to be automatically split into 2 components which represent the "top" and "bottom" of the object based on a flat splitting plane.

Other new features include a specific Arc Drawing function, enhanced Pass Depth Control on profile toolpaths, the ability to more easily visualize Wrapped Rotary layouts and an option to Print 2D and 3D images of the job from within the software.
