Aspire 4 Celtic Weave on a bowl edge
Hi, my first post over here, I'm on cncsharktalk a lot as I see some of you are also.
Just wanted to share this bowl project here, all designed with Aspire and loving the new weave tool in Aspire 4, can't wait to get the CD's in the mail.
The unique thing here is the edge carve, I think. 10" dia. In Mahogany.

Very nicely done. But the tutorial is just as good, thanks for taking the time to create the piece, to document the procedure, and to post your efforts. I appreciate it! Russ

Re: Aspire 4 Celtic Weave on a bowl edge
I appreciate the PDF instructions as well. I designed my smaller 3'x4' machine so that it can cut 2" out past the front end of the machine so I could try dovetailing the ends of drawer boards. Now I have found something else to use it for.

Re: Aspire 4 Celtic Weave on a bowl edge
That is extremely clever. For any of you with Legacy machines, something like Bill's jig would attach nicely to one of the rails and if you remove the bottom plate from the machine, you could mill the edges of really large disks! Thanks, Bill!

Here's two more bowls I did in red oak with butterflies on the bowl edges also.
Thanks!

Wow! That's really impressive. Your butterfly layout looks very nice. I love the grain character that red oak can sometimes have in it. My favorite wood to work with on the CNC machine.
