Michael Tyler – Autumn Fall Wreath

I’m Michael Tyler and for the last 7 years I have been creating Vectric’s Free monthly projects. I’ve made everything from spring wreaths and mantle clocks to snow sledges and cheeseboards.

Did you know there are already 83 projects free for Vectric customers to take advantage of and we’re working on more every month! Each project comes with the file(s) for you to download, along with a PDF document that highlights some of the key important steps to help you get through your project. Plus all new 2018 free projects come with their own video that tells the story of the project from start to finish.

Here is a nice Autumn Wreath project to hang on your front door to celebrate relief from the hot summer! The wreath features Maple leaves and branches/stems
arranged on a bark textured surface of the ring base. The leaf, ring and branch models were created using a variety of Aspire’s vector drawing and modeling
tools. The design combines 3D relief toolpaths with v-carved Fluting toolpaths projected onto the models to create the leaf vein detail.

The project sample was carved on off-theshelf 0.75 ” thick wood, but you can use thicker stock and make the wreath component thicker, if desired. Re-calculate
the toolpaths if you make any changes.

Which Vectric software do I need to be able to open the free project files?
