Hi, I'm Dave. After spending 25 rewarding years in sales, I took a step back for health reasons and embarked on a new journey of creativity and innovation. In 2017/18, I bought a 3D printer and delved into the world of CAD, designing my own unique creations. This passion for design and craftsmanship led me to build a Workbee CNC from a kit and explore the realm of CAM.

A few years down the line, I upgraded to a custom CNC and expanded my arsenal of machines. Today, I proudly operate a compact yet efficient garage workshop where I bring my designs to life. Under the name "GoodWood," I enjoy making and selling my handcrafted creations. This new venture has kept me engaged, inspired, and excited about the endless possibilities of what I can create next.

Dave è tornato con un altro progetto gratuito, il Gravity Tray, un vassoio meticolosamente realizzato e intagliato in rovere. Questo pezzo unico presenta un intricato disegno di scanalature che imitano l'attrazione gravitazionale attorno a un pianeta o alla luna.

Dave ha creato il vassoio incassato utilizzando la funzione di rotazione in Aspire, le scanalature vengono poi proiettate sul modello 3D utilizzando il potente strumento di scanalatura.

Il Gravity Tray è perfetto come vassoio multiuso per gli oggetti essenziali di tutti i giorni o, in alternativa, come vassoio da scrivania direzionale, dove combina funzionalità e raffinatezza estetica.
