Arcade Game

Welcome to the Labs sessions! I’m Beki, a Senior Application Engineer for Vectric. I love to make and I am here to provide you with a FREE monthly project that you can download and cut for yourself!

Each project comes with its own video for you to watch telling the story of what we’re making from start to finish. It includes technical software footage, machining each part in the Labs and finishing the project, and as an added bonus, we throw in a few tips based on our experience! We would love to see what you turned this project into so download the files from your V&CO account then share what you’ve made on the Vectric Forum.

In this month’s “In The Labs” project, Beki shows us how to create an amazing arcade cabinet using the ease and versatility of VCarve to make this quick and easy slot-together project on your CNC.

Beki shows you how to create this fun easy-to-make cabinet that Bill Young designed, with clever click-in-place assembly, harnessing the clever fluting snap-joint and hook lock mechanism with the springiness of plywood to create and assemble without the need for hardware. The handy layers functionality keeps the components super organized, helping Beki make light work of Bill’s files showing just how easy it is to quickly create and adjust the project to suit your own setup.

See how VCarve also helps you switch between multiple sheets to have full visibility of what's going on during the design and cutting process. Beki’s design has an extra panel to hideaway electronics circuitry and more inlays to house wrap-around branding; perfect for any point-of-sale display or launch event. Simply add your own electronics, acrylic inlays, stencil art or graffiti and create your own ‘80s gaming zone for your bar, summer house or even a father’s day gift!
