Michael Castor built his first CNC machine in 2009 and has been involved with the maker movement since 2011. He enjoys making technology useable and accessible to everyone. When not building random projects in his basement, restoring vintage motorcycles, or spending time with his family, Michael can be found at work as Premier Farnell’s Global Product Manager for Single Board Computing.
While there are many uses for the Raspberry Pi single board computer, one of the most rewarding is for playing “retro” games from the 80s and 90s. This project shows you how to make a handheld retro gaming device capable of storing and playing thousands of titles from your childhood.
