Makers Central 2025

We Brought Victor’s Playground to Life at Makers Central 2025 – And You Made It Unforgettable!

Makers Central 2025 was nothing short of spectacular and we at Vectric were thrilled to be right in the middle of the action at the NEC Birmingham. Surrounded by creativity, innovation, and the maker spirit we love so much, we introduced a brand new area - Victor’s Playground, an interactive area complete with oversized games created using our software and a CNC machine.

This new interactive zone was our way of bringing CNC to life in a fun, hands-on way for everyone. From seasoned machinists to curious newcomers. Built around our mascot Victor, the Playground gave attendees a chance to explore our software, try out creative projects, and connect with the Vectric team in a whole new way.

But the highlight? That had to be the debut of “Draw Against the Machine” a workshop-style competition that challenged attendees to sketch Victor… and face off against a CNC machine doing the same 🤖

We saw some incredible talent and lots of laughs, while the machine was precise, the human entries brought heart, humour, and some seriously impressive skill.

Outside of those new areas we also had space for:

  • Live CNC carving demos using VCarve and Aspire
  • Meet-and-greets with our developers and support team
  • Hands-on workstations where visitors could experiment and ask questions

Most importantly, it became a gathering place, a creative hub where ideas were shared, techniques swapped and the Vectric community grew even stronger.

As we pack up and look back, we just want to say thank you. You brought the energy, creativity and spirit that made Makers Central 2025 such a standout event for us.

Until next time - keep making!
